The Tulipán Cultural Connection Award provides financial support to U.S.-based nonprofit organizations that want to use their proposed project to promote the richness of Hungarian culture.

Applicants must be U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in good standing with the IRS. While the organization does not need to have Hungarian cultural promotion as part of its mission, the proposed project must clearly celebrate Hungarian culture, heritage, or community engagement in the U.S.

Please note that priority will be given to projects that create opportunities for dialogue, learning, or collaboration and feature a clear public-facing component, such as workshops, festivals, or public performances.

Grants funding is up to $10,000 based on the project’s scope and needs. Smaller grants may be awarded for individual events or short-term initiatives, while larger grants may fund more comprehensive projects.

Funding may be used for project-related expenses including program development, event production (e.g., venue rental, artist fees), educational initiatives (such as curriculum development or workshops), marketing and outreach (advertising and promotional materials), and other relevant costs like research, transportation, or speaker fees.

The Tulipán Cultural Connection Award is awarded annually.

Applications will open on Monday, March 16, 2026 and close on Friday, May 15, 2026. Applicants will be notified during the week of June 29, 2026.

Upon completion of the funded project, Grantees must submit a final report detailing fund usage, project impact, audience engagement, and key lessons learned.

Organizations are welcome to apply more than once, however preference may be given to organizations that have not received funding from Tulipán in recent years.
